Algorithm correctness is a property that must be carefully demonstrated.” It’s not enough that the code looks right. It’s not enough that the tests pass. You have to demonstrate with benchmarks and with proof that the system does what it should. 576,000 lines and no benchmark. That is not “correctness first, optimization later.” That is no correctness at all.
